This weekend, we are going to be a part of some really fun outdoor events and locations. On Saturday, we will be at Stuyvesant Town from 1-3pm. The Treats Truck and the American Museum of Natural History’s Movable Museum will be a part of the afternoon festivities. A fun stop for families on a Saturday afternoon! We will also park in the Meatpacking district on Saturday from 5-8pm, and then on Sunday afternoon from 1-4pm, we will be parked in front of the Helmut Lang Store on Washington Street in the Meatpacking District. This Sunday is the Target Highline Street Festival. The Highline is such a great new addition to our city! It’s a great spot for a weekend walk. Just email or call in your request (the day before or earlier), and we’ll pack up your box and have it waiting for you. And if you happen to need an extra Jammy, Dot or Peanut Butter Sandwich cookie to eat right away when you stop by for your box, you just say the word!
In addition to stopping by the truck, you can also have the treats come to you. We deliver! Call or email, and we’ll help you set up your order. Whether it is one box of sugar cookies or catering for a big event, the Treats Truck is happy to bring your treats to you!
This Saturday, we have big plans! We will be participating in two outdoor events and also parking on the UWS for the late afternoon.
In Madison Square Park from 10:30-1:30, we will have a booth at the Spring Kids Fest and give out free mini treats! Spring Kids Fest is hosted by Time Out Kids and the Madison Square Park Conservancy. There will be lots of free entertainment and activities, as well as treats!
In Brooklyn from 11-6pm, we will be open for business with a booth at SCORE!, a free swap of clothes, records, books and more at the Brooklyn Yard. She is our little white truck we added to our family this past year. Dot is a cutey. Small and spunky, eager to follow her big brother around. We at The Treats Truck love Valentine’s Day. Picking out cards and little treats for friends, family and, of course, your special Valentine, is fun. Receiving cards and gifts is fun, too! This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday. We will be making Valentine’s Day deliveries and will also park our truck in the city. All week leading up to the day, we’ll have special treats for Valentine’s Day, including heart-shaped sugar cookies and heart-shaped chocolate sandwich cookies. We have small gift bags, boxes and Treats Truck tins available. Boxes start at $10, 15, 25, 50 and up. Valentine’s Day tins are $8, $14, $24 or $50 Deluxe. In addition to our Valentine’s day assortments, you can custom pick an assortment of your liking, a “fill your own!” box or tin. Cookie bags are $6.50. In honor of the inauguration of Barack Obama on Tuesday, January 20th, The Treats Truck will have special red, white and blue sugar cookies. We’ll have red, white and blue heart-shaped cookies and red, white and blue Big Dots. Having an inauguration party? We’ll have lots of treats at the truck, including the special sugar cookies. If you want to make sure you get everything that you want, you can call or email to reserve your order. You can pick them up or have them delivered to you! For deliveries on Tuesday, it’s best to let us know by Monday night. On Monday, our truck, Sugar, will be on the Upper West Side from 2-4pm. On Tuesday, Sugar will be at 38th Street & Fifth Avenue from 12-3:30. See you at the truck!
Wow, 2009 is off to a start! We at the Treats Truck wish everyone a very healthy, happy year for you, your families and friends. We’ll be back in our favorite spots around the city with our truck and also making deliveries when you want the treats to come to you. The Treats Truck will be open this month through December 23rd with our trucks, deliveries and catering. We have Treats Truck cookie tins we can custom-fill with treats and gift boxes for pick-up, delivery or shipping. Need secret santa gifts or little gifts for co-workers? You can order treats bags with your favorite treats, including our holiday cookies. Just email or call in your gift bag order with at least 24 hours notice. Gift certificates and t-shirts are also available. If you want to just stop by the truck to pick out your treats, we can fill boxes on the spot! Some of our specials this month include Hannukah and Christmas sugar cookies, jr. pies (pumpkin, pecan, caramel apple), Candy Cane cupcakes (chocolte or vanilla with peppermint candy buttercream frosting), gingerbread and Pumpkin Cake with cream cheese frosting. Tins filled with Caramel Creme Sandwich cookies are also one of our favorites to send to family and friends at the holidays.
Did you know that Monday, December 15th is National Cupcake Day? We’ll have lots of cupcakes all next week to celebrate! And guess what December 16th is celebrating? National Chocolate Covered Anything Day (We swear we are did not make this up)! Of course, we’ll have some very special chocolate covered specials. What we want to know is when will there be a National Sandwich Cookie Day? Every day is National Sandwich Cookie Day at The Treats Truck (peanut butter sandwich cookies, pb and choc, pb and jam, caramel creme, chocolate truckers, double chocolate truckers, mint chocolate truckers, lemon sandwich cookies…).

Calexico Carne Asada and The Treats Truck are partnering for home-made, appetizer-to-dessert catering for holiday parties and events.
The street vendors are the winners of the 2008 Vendy Awards Calexico for Best Street Food Vendor, and The Treats Truck for Best Dessert.
“We were already big fans of each other,” said Calexico owner Jesse Vendley.”After we both won the Vendys, we got to talking and thought it would be something fresh and different from typical catering.”
Holiday partygoers will enjoy Calexico’s famous, festive tacos, featuring signature Carne Asada, a mouthwatering well-guarded grilled steak recipe, and pollo mole, among others. Passed Hors d’oeuvre is also offered.
The party continues with The Treats Truck’s divine home baked sweets, including delicious cookies,cupcakes,crispy squares and brownies, all fresh. Platters of cookies and brownies, like Mexican Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Raspberry and Caramel to sandwich cookies ranging from Peanut Butter with just the thing to top off the meal and sweeten the night.
